Sacha Clarke-Squair studied yoga at Balanced Life Yoga and is a Certified 500 hr YTT. Sacha has been teaching for over 20 years at the College level so combining her love of yoga and love of teaching was a very natural fit. Sacha recently traveled to India to study at the Krishnamanchara Yoga Mandiram. This took her to a deeper understanding of yoga and its theraputic benefits. An intense study of Pranayama, meditation and Vedic Chanting were the basis of this study.
"I love combining breath, and meditation with positive intention to move yoga beyond just the physical practice into a full well being experience." says Sacha.
Janna Burford Janna was first drawn to yoga as a way to stretch her muscles, which were tight from running and being hunched over her pottery wheel. It wasn’t until the summer of 2010, when Janna began taking classes at Indigo, that she found a studio and teacher that inspired her to really connect with her practice. Janna started seeing yoga as a way of life instead of just a way to exercise. Given her history with teaching pottery, Sacha encouraged her to take yoga instructor training and marry her love of teaching with her love of yoga.
Janna is very excited and honoured to be offered the opportunity to teach at Indigo she. Janna has completed her 200 hour teacher training program. |
